- Maj Kevin Gerfen, USAF (Retired), and Priscilla Gerfen try to get Elmo (cat) and Maxine
(dog) to look into the camera for their 1999 Christmas card picture. Kevin has his hands full trying to make Maxine behave
(she was terrified by the camera's flash). His uniform was covered with dog hair before it was all over. (The "spots" on
our faces come from scanning the photo.)
- Priscilla is a career civil service employee of the U.S. Treasury Department.
She is an alumnus of Oklahoma State University.
- Kevin retired from the U.S. Air Force in January 2001. His last
assignment before retiring was as an Air Force ROTC instructor at Oklahoma State University (Assistant Professor of Aerospace
Studies). Shortly after retiring, he took a job at OSU as Assistant Director/Scholarships in the Office of Scholarships and
Financial Aid from January 2001 to April 2006. Starting April 2006, Kevin took a job as "Senior Academic Counselor" (academic
advisor) in the OSU College of Education. In that job, Kevin is academic advisor to Athletic Training, Aviation Sciences,
Health Promotion, and Leisure Studies majors in the OSU College of Education. He, too, is an alumnus of OSU.
